The Land

Mountain Mama Farms is located on the property of the Scoggins’ Family Farm in Gore, Ga, 10 miles north of the Berry College campus.
The Scoggins family has farmed the Dirt Town Valley for close to 200 hundred years and the farm is partly stewarded by the fifth-generation granddaughter of the Scoggins family.
The Farm is home to Jeremy and Stacie (Scoggins) Marshall and their three daughters, along with Stacie’s father and brother.  The Scoggins currently have three generations living and farming the property. They are learning how to work together as a family and community to preserve our Appalachian Heritage Farmland that has been a sacred place for so many who have gone before them and called it home.

The Products

Mountain Mama Farms products come directly from the land that Stacie's family has been farming for generations.
Stacie intentionally preserves her family's Appalachian heritage by relying heavily on traditional methods for creating goods from the land.
All products are handmade by Stacie, her three daughters and husband, and Environmental Studies interns from Berry College.
